Admission into RUB Programmes for the Academic Year 2024 

  1. The online application for College of Science and Technology, Gyalpozhing College of Information Technology, Paro College of Education, Gedu College of Business Studies, Samtse College of Education and three new programmes of Sherubtse College (Bachelor of Economics and Political Science; Bachelor of Digital Communication and Project Management; and Bachelor of Data Science and Data Analytics) will open on 1st March and close on 15th March 2024. Students wishing to seek admission into these Colleges may apply to the respective Colleges on the aforementioned dates. The online application links will be announced by the Royal University of Bhutan.
  2. The online application for College of Natural Resources, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College, and Sherubtse College (BSc in Physics, BSc in Chemistry, BSc in Mathematics and BSc in Life Science) will open centrally on 5th April and close on 5th May 2024.
  3. Tuition fees for self-financed students for the Academic Year 2024-2025:
    • Arts and Humanities programmes is 75,457 and Nu. 93,479 for Science and Engineering programmes. The tuition fee will increase at the rate of 2% per year.
    • The tuition fee is payable annually in two installments. 50% each in the beginning of the each semester.

Shortlisting

Eligible applicants will be merit ranked based on their academic achievements in Classes X and XII in the ratio of 30% to 70% respectively. Of these, a total of 140 will be shortlisted for face-to-face interview in the following manner:

·       84 (60% of 140 for LCSC applicants)

·       56 (40% of 140 for applicants with Rigzhung stream from other schools)

The interview will test their proficiency in communication skills, creativity, analytical skills, collaborative skills, Bhutanese values, and character, aptitude and attitude to become a teacher.
