There has been a steady increase in the life expectancy around the world because of various reasons such as advances in medicines and nutrition but along with it comes economic, social and health challenges.
The Kyoto University in collaboration with the Royal University of Bhutan will bring together speakers and participants from Southeast and East Asia to focus on the challenges of health and rural development in communities in Bhutan.
This seminar will serve as a platform for Bhutan to not only share issues and concerns relating to rural development and health but will also be an opportunity to share experiences and effective practices in the communities to decipher such issues in the communities.
The seminar will be held on December 7th, 2018, at the Office of Vice Chancellor, the Royal University of Bhutan.
The seminar is designed to enable participants to reflect on current issues in their communities and learn from strategies and experiences of Bhutan. The seminar also includes a study tour in Punakha and Wangdi Phodrang.
