RUB Registrar Appointed
Gajel Lhundup is the new Registrar of the Royal University of Bhutan. He holds a Master’s degree in management information systems from George Washington University, USA, a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Bangalore University, India, and a Diploma in computer data systems from the US Bureau of Census, USA. Before he moved to his present job, Gajel Lhundup was the Director of Planning and Resources at RUB. He also worked as Joint Director in the Royal Institute of Management in Thimphu. Gajel Lhundup started his career as a Trainee Officer in the Central Statistical Organization, Planning Commission in 1982. The following year he became a Statistical Officer. In 1986 he joined the Computer Support & Training Centre as an Assistant Director. In 1990 he became the Under Secretary of the Institute and got promoted to Deputy Director in 1994.
