Director of Planning and Resources Appointed
Dr. Samdrup Rigyal has been appointed as RUB’s new Director of Planning and Resources. He received his PhD in Agriculture Extension from Khon Kaen University, Thailand, and a Masters in the same field from Reading University, United Kingdom. Before he moved to his present job, he worked as the Chief Human Resource Officer of the university. Prior to his work in the human resources office he was a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Agricultural Extension and Communications at the College of Natural Resources in Lobesa. He also worked as the Project Manager of the Asia-Link Project for ICT-based Teaching and Learning at CNR from 2007 to 2008; Deputy Director of SAARC Agriculture centre, Dhaka, Bangladesh; and Officer In-Charge of Farm Extension Communications Support Unit, Ministry of Agriculture. Dr. Rigyal has also received many honours for his exemplary services and dedication to the country. He has published numerous papers in international and national journals and presented conference papers.
