In order to develop appropriate infrastructure, enhance research capacity and support, and help maintain a sustainable financial base for research, various Centers dedicated to thematic research supporting linkages with specific industries have been established. It is expected that the centers will enhance the research reputation of the University and its academics. Research centers exist within the other structures and policies. Each Center is headed by a Coordinator from within the relevant faculty at a College and reports to the Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages (DRIL). The DRIL is responsible for oversight of the Center and ensures its proper functioning within the overall College research environment and strategic plans.
