Developing innovative and proactive media club member

One of the perks of being a member of the Dangsel Media Club at the College of Language and Culture Studies (CLCS) is getting opportunities to attend various basic multimedia training.

The Media Club Members in the past have attended various training on podcasting, video/audio editing, newspaper layout, social media literacy and basic news writing. The trained members then pass on their knowledge and skills to the new members of the club. This culture of passing the knowledge and skill to new members has helped attract new students to join the club and also run the club smoothly.

Two members of the club, Kinley Wangdi and Pema Chogyal who is in 2nd year pursuing Bachelor of Language and Literature were one of those members trained in print layout using ‘InDesign’ software. These members then conducted one-day training to the younger members on how to use the InDesign software on 3rd November 2019.

Some of the activities that the Dangselmedia club has carried out are publishing their college newspaper, telling stories of their community through podcasts, hosting radio programmes, and reading out the news during the college assembly.
