The grant no longer emphasises capacity-building components or categorisation of faculty and grant types.<\/p><p><strong><br \/>Objective<\/strong><\/p><p>The AURG aims to support <strong>high-quality research projects<\/strong> that generate new knowledge and demonstrate clear potential to:<\/p><ul><li>inform or influence <strong>policy and decision-making<\/strong>,<\/li><li>promote <strong>innovation<\/strong>, and\/or<\/li><li>deliver <strong>practical interventions<\/strong> with societal, institutional, or sectoral relevance.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><br \/>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>All <strong>Regular, Fixed-Term, Contract, and Adjunct staff<\/strong> of RUB colleges are eligible to apply.<\/li><li>Fixed-Term, Contract, and Adjunct staff must include at least one <strong>Regular staff member as Co-Investigator<\/strong> to ensure project continuity.<\/li><li>A staff member may serve as <strong>Principal Investigator (PI) for only one AURG project<\/strong> in 2026.<\/li><li>A PI may additionally serve as a <strong>team member in only one other AURG project<\/strong>.<\/li><li>No staff member may be involved in <strong>more than two AURG projects concurrently<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><br \/>Nature of Research Supported<\/strong><\/p><p>Proposals should clearly demonstrate:<\/p><ul><li>defined <strong>impact pathways<\/strong> (policy, innovation, and\/or intervention),<\/li><li>strong <strong>methodological rigor and ethical compliance<\/strong>,<\/li><li>relevance to <strong>teaching, learning, or discipline-specific advancement<\/strong>, and<\/li><li>alignment with <strong>College and University research priority areas<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><p>Team-based and multidisciplinary research is encouraged.<\/p><p><strong>Proposal Submission<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Proposals must be submitted using the <strong>AURG Application Form (Annexure A)<\/strong> through the <strong>DRIL Office of the respective College<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Submission of proposal to DRIL Office:<\/strong> <em>End March 2026<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Submission of proposals by the DRIL Office to R&amp;D, DeARS:<\/strong> <em>Mid-April 2026<\/em><\/li><li>Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Review and Selection<\/strong><\/p><p>All eligible proposals will undergo initial screening by the DRIL Office with support from the College Research Committee (CRC), followed by a <strong>blind peer-review process<\/strong>.
