‘The IEEE R10 Bhutan Subsection, in collaboration with the Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Development and the Center for Disaster Risk Reduction and Community Development Services, has been organizing annual conferences to foster a strong research culture and enhance external collaborations. These conferences have played a pivotal role in showcasing the college’s research capabilities and facilitating partnerships with various international agencies and universities.
The 1st International Conference on Science, Engineering and Technology (ICSciEnTec 2020) was successfully held virtually on 4th–5th February 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2nd ICSciEnTec, initially scheduled for 5th February 2022 as an in-person event, was later conducted virtually on 2nd May 2022, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the 3rd Druk Gyalpo, due to continued pandemic-related restrictions.
The 3rd ICSciEnTec 2025, organized by IEEE R10 Bhutan Subsection, and Construction Development Corporation Limited (CDCL), was held from 28th–30th April 2025 at Namgay Heritage, Thimphu. The event was well received and achieved its objectives in generating valuable research outputs, offering exposure to students, and fostering academic collaborations.
Building on this success, CST and CDCL, proposes to host the 4th ICSciEnTec from 28th to 30th April 2026 at OVC, Thimphu. The upcoming conference is expected to attract increased participation from international researchers, thereby enhancing the quality and reach of the conference. CST has been actively involved in numerous local and international research collaborations, and the event will serve as a platform for sharing research findings with national and international academics and professionals.’
