About RUB
Who We Are
The Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) was established on 2nd June 2003 through a Royal Decree issued by His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. Guided by its Royal Charter and Statutes, RUB aims to advance knowledge and learning through a balanced and well-regulated tertiary education system that supports Bhutan’s economic, cultural, and social development, while promoting personal growth and well-being.
RUB was founded to unify Bhutan’s previously independent tertiary institutions into a federated university system. Today, the University comprises nine constituent colleges and two affiliated private colleges, each with academic autonomy, operating under a shared governance and quality assurance framework.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
